Mold mould fungus candida is a killer

HOW TO REVERSE MOLD TOXICITY

Mold produces chemical by-products as part of its natural life cycle. These chemicals are often toxic, in which case they are known as “mycotoxins”. These mycotoxins are among the most toxic, naturally occurring chemicals on earth and are carcinogenic.

Mycotoxin known as aflatoxin is known to cause liver cancer. Other mycotoxins are known to be genotoxic and mutagenic and it’s well published that certain mycotoxins cause cancer.

An Italian doctor Tullio Simoncini, has discovered that cancer is actually a fungus caused by Candida, a yeast-like organism that lives in the body in small amounts, even in healthy people. The immune system normally keeps it under control, but when the Candida morphs into a powerful fungus some serious health problems can follow, often in the form of cancer.

Biotoxin Mold Illness test

So it’s important to be aware of just how harmful mold is and the good news is that the test is available to order so you can test yourself. Here’s an example of a good test kit.

Note: This panel was designed with the cooperation of Dr. Shoemaker. All tests in this panel are performed by LabCorp. The tests that Dr. Shoemaker recommends be obtained through QUEST (VEGF, VIP, C3a and C4a) are not part of this panel. This blood test panel cannot be done in a kit. You must be able to get to your nearest LabCorp Service Center

You will need to allow for just over a month or so for the complete process and results. Its recommended to contact them as soon as you plan to take the test as you may have to wait a few weeks to complete the process.

If you and your family are getting sick and you have been exposed to mold in any way, then this test could save your life.

How to deal with mold in your home

When it comes to black mold in your home, these are some of the best natural ways to deal with black mold:

  1. Identify the Moisture Source

The absolute key to dealing with black mold anywhere is to identify what’s creating the warm, damp environment in which the black mold can flourish. If you clean up black mold but don’t address the source of the moisture, then the black mold is highly likely to return. No natural or conventional treatment will prevent or remove mold permanently unless you remove mold’s necessary ingredient, which is moisture.

  1. Fix the Source

You need to completely fix any water leaks, enable better ventilation where humidity is high and/or address any HVAC system problems. You can also purchase a dehumidifier for any areas that tend to be too humid. Exhaust fans are in kitchens and bathrooms for good reason. Make sure you use them to get moisture out of these prime mold areas.

  1. Throw Away Mold-Ridden Items

Discard any items that are porous or if you are unable to completely remove the mold from them. It’s also a very smart idea to get rid of any carpets that have been flooded because they’re very prone to mold. Never paint or caulk over moldy surfaces.

  1. Tea Tree Oil

Bleach will definitely work to effectively kill black mold. However, it’s ideal not to turn to bleach since bleach comes with so many concerning health side effects, including irritation to the eyes, mouth, lungs and skin. If you have asthma or another breathing problem, then the use of bleach is even more health-hazardous. Bleach can also burn human tissue, both internally and externally, especially in small children. (9)

Tea tree oil is one of several natural mold killers that you can employ instead of bleach. To put tea tree oil’s natural fungicide power to work, combine two teaspoons of tea tree oil with two cups water in a spray bottle and shake well. Spray the mixture anywhere that you see black mold. Then just let it sit and reapply as needed. Tea tree oil is said to be one of the best natural mold killers. (10) Pine oil can also be used in a similar fashion.

  1. Baking Soda

Baking soda is another great natural anti-mold substance. Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with two cups of water in a spray bottle. Make sure to shake the mixture well. Next, spray the moldy areas and use a scrubbing brush to scrub the black mold away. Rinse the area and spray it again with the baking soda solution. This time just let it dry.

  1. Vinegar

Put undiluted white distilled vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the vinegar directly on the moldy area(s). Let it set without any rinsing or scrubbing. This is a smelly natural mold remedy, but it’s said to be highly effective and the vinegar scent will fade.

  1. Grapefruit Seed Extract

If you just can’t handle the smell of vinegar (even short term), then there is another option that is odorless. I’m talking about grapefruit seed extract, which is an excellent antifungal both internally and externally. To use it on a moldy area in your home, simply combine 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract with two cups of water in a spray bottle. Shake the mixture and spray it directly on the mold  and do not rinse. (11)

  1. Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is another odorless option that can be used to kill black mold. Pour a 3 percent concentration hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle and spray the moldy areas until they are saturated. Let the hydrogen peroxide sit for at least 10 minutes before scrubbing the area well. Wipe the area with hydrogen peroxide when you’re done scrubbing.

Natural remedies may not be as strong as bleach, and typically need to be repeated, but they are a much healthier route!

Black Mold Prevention

The main way to prevent black mold infestation and black mold exposure is moisture control. If you have a water leak or flooding, address the source of the water to prevent mold growth. If you’re having trouble in your bathroom and don’t have an exhaust fan, then it’s a a good idea to install one.

You should also aim to keep humidity down in your home — ideally, not higher than 50 percent. If humidity is a problem where you live, then a dehumidifier can be helpful. This is especially important when the weather is humid outdoors. In warmer months, an air conditioner can help to keep the humidity down.

Also, make sure to properly ventilate your home. It’s especially important to have exhaust fans in your bathrooms and kitchen. Make sure not to carpet your bathroom(s) because this will only increase the trapping of moisture. You should also remove and replace any carpets in your home that have experienced flooding.

Regularly cleaning your home, especially your bathroom and basement, with natural anti-mold products will help to keep black mold away, too.

Black Mold Precautions

If you do opt to go the conventional route and use bleach to clean up black mold, never mix bleach with ammonia or any other household cleaning product. Doing so can cause extremely dangerous and even fatal fumes.

Always wear protective gloves and eye wear when cleaning mold. Make sure you cover the skin of your arms as well as your hands. You should also wear a respirator or mask designed for work with mold spores. A N-95 respirator is available online or at some hardware stores. To increase ventilation, open windows to let fresh air inside.

If you have an area of black mold that is more than 10 square feet, consult the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guide titled “Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings.” This document also applies to other building types.

If you have any health concerns or are currently taking any medication, check with your doctor before using any internal natural remedies for black mold symptoms. If you’re looking for a doctor who has experience in diagnosing and treating mold and mycotoxin-related illnesses, you can check out the American Academy of Environmental Medicine.

Final Thoughts on Black Mold Symptoms

Toxin-producing black mold can cause serious black mold symptoms in adults and children. It can also cause extensive damage to your home as well as your health. I hope this article helps you to better understand how to identify, prevent and completely eliminate black mold from your life in every way. Remember that the No. 1 key to black mold prevention is moisture control.

How to deal with mold toxins in your body

Ginger:  Like many tubers, ginger is a detoxifier.  It increases circulation, detoxifies the liver, and stimulates the immune system.  It also soothes inflammation of the intestinal tract (a common issue with fungus victims).  What’s not to love about this ?

Radish:  Not many are aware that radishes are considered some of the top mold and yeast annihilators.  In fact, the radish is more like the Godzilla of the anti-fungal world.  In just the past 10 years, scientists have discovered a plant defensin in radishes they named RsAFP2 that destroys mold and yeast on the cellular level.  So far, no fungus they’ve tested has fought RsAFP2 and lived to tell the tale.  This little anti-fungal protein aims its microscopic weapons at fungi cell walls, completely obliterating it.  Moral of this story?  Eat more radishes!

Garlic:  Nothing says “die fungus, die!” like swallowing a mouthful of garlic.  Not only is this solution gentle on your pocket book – as opposed to synthesized pharmaceutical treatments that are both expensive and have delayed results – it can usually bring about changes within just a few hours.  Garlic naturally inhibits the growth of molds and yeasts.  In fact, it contains allyl alcohol, which utterly destroys yeast… like a beast.  Trust me, you need to eat garlic.  Garlic soup is amazing.

Onions:  Like garlic, onions have a detoxifying effect on the body and are highly anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic. Another great thing about onions is that they flush excess fluids from the body.  This is great because a lot of mold and yeast victims suffer from water retention.  Go for the stronger-tasting and most intense-smelling onions – they pack a mightier punch against fungus.

Herbs

Cilantro:  Eat this.  It might help you keep your friends after you’ve eaten the garlic and onions.  Not only will cilantro – also commonly known as Coriander – give you fresher breath, it will protect you from mold and yeast, and reduce the symptoms you experience from infection.  Cilantro is anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and it’s especially important to note that for those who have become infected due to an already existing disease (such as diabetes) or illness (low or damaged immune system), this unique little herb has proven to cause insulin-like activity, as well as improve and strengthen the immune system.

Basil:  This sweet-tasting, anti-fungal herb can go in just about any dish.   Its potency against mold and yeast increases exponentially when made into an essential oil, but eating it fresh is much more appealing.

Oregano:  Yet another tasty herb whose most common medicinal use today is fighting fungus!  Experts say that oregano (especially as an essential oil) – because of its carvacrol content – is 100 times more potent and effective than the caprylic acid that is usually a regular ingredient for most modern anti-fungal solutions.  And , it tastes great too!

Rosemary:  This little goodie doesn’t pack too much of an anti-fungal punch but she will take care of the symptoms associated with mold and yeast infections.  It couldn’t hurt to throw her into the pot as well!

Thyme:  Pronounced as “time” this is your friend against mold infections that affect the lungs.  Best as an essential oil, but tasty and effective as a seasoning, thyme – like oregano – has large amounts of anti-fungal properties, such as carvacrol, and is one of your greatest allies in the fight against mold or yeast infections.

Black Walnut:  It’s not the walnut itself but the the bark and husk that is ground down and used for natural healing.  The active ingredient in black walnut is juglone and it has been known to act as swiftly and as strongly as most over-the-counter anti-fungal remedies, if not better.  Juglone is not only anti-fungal but anti-biotic as well.  The other fungus fighting ingredients are called tannins and they are fungus murderers.  Black walnut is so potent, in fact, that it doesn’t play nicely with other plants.

Pau d’Arco:  Another tree bark derivative, pau d’arco helps loosen the bowels (not uh-oh, whoops! – more like ah, that’s better) which is very beneficial to victims of fungus.  It also is intensely anti-fungal. It contains lapachol, which has been shown to inhibit (stop or slow) the growth of mold and yeast.  Get some Pau d’Arco tea!

Spices

Cinnamon:  It should really be called cinnassin because it is a mold and yeast assassin!  Cinnamon contains cinnamaldehyde, an extremely potent antifungal, antibacterial, and antioxidant agent.  Cinnamaldehyde – I’m seriously not making that title up – has been proven to attack and obliterate mold and yeast infections.  That’s right, folks.  Sprinkle as much of this little hero as you want!

Cloves:  Like Rosemary, cloves may not be your anti-fungal hero, per se, but they will do some hefty damage to the side-effect symptoms you’re experiencing.  Cloves are antioxidant and antiseptic.  Just be sure not to give any to your pets or place it on their skin because it can be very toxic to them.

Cayenne Pepper:  Naturally supporting the digestive and immune system, cayenne pepper aids in food digestion, reduces constipation by cleansing the bowels of mold, yeast, and other toxins, and it increases metabolism and circulation which is definitely a plus since most victims constantly feel fatigued.  Repeat after me:  “Cayenne Pepper is my friend!”

Turmeric, Allspice, or Sage:  Although more research needs to be done, many claim that these three spices are an excellent source for natural anti-fungal battling, especially if used topically or infused into teas.

Oils

Coconut Oil:  This oil is the star of anti-fungal oils.  Its lauric and caprylic acids that kill off most molds and yeasts and also boost the immune system.  Coconut oil is also one of the most versatile oils and anti-fungal solutions out there.  Not only can you rub it on affected areas of the skin or just use it as a daily lotion, you can cook and bake with it (it’s a very stable oil for most temperatures), use it in your hair as a conditioner, eat it plain, or use it for oil-pulling (a trending method these days that involves swishing a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth for 20 minutes before spitting it out, which helps removes toxins and bacteria from the body).

Olive Oil:  Within this gem of antiquity and modern-day cooking and healing is contained a plant chemical named Oleuropein (all-your-pee-in…  sounds nice, doesn’t?).  This chemical has powerful anti-fungal properties and has proven to stimulate the immune system specifically in response to mold or yeast issues.  Another important note:  Olive oil helps stabilize blood sugars, which is incredibly important in stopping mold and yeast growths because they thrive in high-sugar conditions.

Greens & Legumes

Green Leafy Vegetables (of all kinds):  Lettuce, incorporating lettuce and other greens such as spinach and cabbage are going to help you not only expel toxins through the intestines, but also cleanse the rest of your body and help the other anti-fungal foods you eat, work their magic.  Like all plants, greens are naturally anti-fungal and while they may not be as intense at it like radishes or garlic, they most-certainly make a difference.

Dried or Frozen Legumes:  Beans, beans, the musical fruit!  The more you eat the more you… fight off that fungal brute?  Actually, even though beans are anti-fungal, you will need to eat them in moderation (at least until your infection is cleared up).  Don’t overdo it , for your sake – healthfully and… uh, socially.  Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), red lentils, organic soybeans, split peas, and black-eyed peas – these are just a few of the legumes you can safely consume right now.  High fiber, high protein is what you’re aiming for but remember, not daily and not over-portioned.

Nuts & Seeds

Safe nuts and seeds to consume:  Brazillian nuts, hazelnut (no, not Nutella spread!), almonds, cashews, Macadamia nuts, flax seed, coconut meat, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pecans, poppy seeds, pine nuts, and pumpkin seeds.  While all vegetation contain some form and degree of anti-fungal properties, not all are associated directly with the destruction of fungus.  These nuts and seeds are more or less on neutral ground and are safe to consume while on a strict mold-fighting diet.

Gluten-Free Grains

Safe Breads & “Cereals”:  (ONLY GLUTEN-FREE VERSIONS) of millet, oat bran, buckwheat, and quinoa (and most of their products like crackers and flour) are high fiber and help move and pull toxins out of your body.  Go ahead, indulge a little.

Vegetables in General

As stated earlier, all plants are anti-fungal to some degree, so it is imperative that – for the time-being, until you have healed – you eat a mostly-vegetarian diet.  The best vegetables for mold and yeast victims are (alphabetically listed for you A-types out there):

  • Artichokes
  • Asparagus
  • Avocado
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Cabbage
  • Celery
  • Cucumber
  • Eggplant
  • Garlic (raw)
  • Kale
  • Olives
  • Onions
  • Rutabaga
  • Spinach
  • Tomatoes
  • Zucchini

These vegetables are non-starch, which means that they do not turn into the sugary goodness that mold and yeast thrive off of when digested by your stomach.  Essentially, by eating mostly these vegetables, you will be starving the fungus right out of your body.  Don’t feel bad, mold would do the same thing to you.

Meat

Keep meat-eating to a minimum.  Fungus eats heavily on rotting flesh, so try not to make a cemetery out of your stomach.  If you must devour things that once had families, mothers, and faces, then steer clear of anything processed or non-organic.  No lunch meat, spam, bacon, smoked meats, or meats contained in vacuum-sealed containers (these all contain dextrose, nitrates, sulfates and sugars which happily feed fungus).  Stick to organic chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, and only certain kinds of fish like salmon (but be sure to buy the fish fresh).

FOODS TO AVOID:

Molds and yeasts are fungal microorganisms that can not only grow in your home, they can also live in your body.  Most victims of internal mold are already suffering from diseases such as diabetes or immune system weaknesses or deficiencies that allow the fungus a welcoming habitat in which to thrive.  If you have a fungal infection of any kind, it is important that in addition to seeking professional medical help, you also begin battling the fungus by avoiding certain foods and drinks.  If mold or yeast within the body is not fed what it needs to survive, it will stop growing and eventually starve to death.

Experts highly suggest that victims avoid the following at all costs:

NO Sugar:  Whether it’s white, brown, or a healthier choice, such as coconut sugar, when it comes to mold and yeast, if it’s sweet-tasting at all, it’s sugar and sugar is a fungus’ best friend.  It’s going to be difficult – it may even feel downright impossible – but until the fungus has fungused its last, you need to say goodbye to sugar in all its forms (or strictly monitor your intake of the healthier options):  white sugar, brown sugar, healthy sugar alternatives (coconut flakes, fruit-derived sugars), aspartame and splenda (diet sodas & “sugar-free” foods), maple syrup, molasses, and even honey.  Basically, stay away from fructose, lactose, maltose, glucose, mannitol, and sortbitol.

NO Processed Foods:  Anything in a can, box, or bottle has been processed and is not considered a “whole food.”  Whole foods are either not processed (changed, altered, added to, or manipulated) or they have only 1 to 2 alterations before reaching the grocery store (such as nuts being shelled, for instance).  Most everything that is per-packaged will contain sugar or some additive for “freshness” that acts as a sugar in the body and will feed the fungus.

You need to kill the mold before it kills you.  The bad news is that you not only have to give up sugar, you also have to give up those quick-and-easy meals and snacks, as well. The good news?  Well, aside from regaining your health and ridding yourself of merciless, opportunistic fungi, you may even shed a few unwanted pounds and have a reason to go shopping!  Before you get excited, let’s take a look at just some of the processed foods you now need to be avoiding:

Canned foods – Most sauces, baked beans (because of the sugar added during cooking), nearly all soups.

Bottled foods – All sodas/ soft drinks (even diet/light), all fruit juices (even homemade), most condiments.

Boxed or Packaged foods – microwaveable or oven-ready meals, nearly all breakfast cereals, all chocolate, all candy, all ice cream, and most frozen foods.

Foods Already Containing Yeast or Mold:  Fungus gets lonely.  It’s in the mood for like-minded neighbors.  Don’t give it a friend.  Stay away from dairy!  No milk, no sour cream, no buttermilk, no butter, and worst of all?  Cheese.  Especially Stilton cheese.

Alcoholic Drinks:  Not only is alcohol a literal poison, it’s also one of fungus’ most beloved pals.  No wine, no beer, no cider, no brandy, no whiskey, no gin, no rum.  “But why is all the rum gone?!” you may ask.  The answer is simple: You’re not a pirate, you’re a loved one infected with fungus and someone, somewhere needs you alive and well and waiting at the hospital only to greet newborn grandchildren, not awaiting a death sentence.

Processed and Smoked Meats:  Hot dogs, smoked fish, ham, bacon, sausages, corned beef, pastrami…  Basically, if it doesn’t resemble the original animal, don’t eat it.  Have you tried veganism?  No, that salad suffocated by chicken strips doesn’t count.  Look, nobody’s judging you here, maybe you can’t be a vegan for the love of animals, but you most-certainly could be a vegan because you hate plants!  Give it a try or do a little research on where your meat comes from and how it’s made, for your own sake.

Edible Fungi:  Seriously?  Mold is destroying your body and you want to eat its cousin?!  I already told you – no fungus friends!  No mushrooms, no truffles – don’t even think about it.

Condiments: Put down the ketchup…  and the mustard, too.  No condiments (or pickled foods) containing sugar or vinegar.  That’s right, get in the habit of saying, “Hold the mayo.”

Malt Products:  Say goodbye to breakfast cereals, Malt-O-Meal, candies, and that naughty chocolate malt shake you’ve been sneaking on Fridays after work.

Fruit Juices:  It’s no longer a trending rumour on social media sites, every single packaged fruit juice is a potential mold smuggler.  All packaged fruit juices may potentially contain molds. (Fresh fruit juices made in your home are the only ones you’re allowed to sneak, but do so in moderation because of the high sugar content.)

Dried Fruits:  Personally, I’m not at all disappointed by this one, are you?  No more dried raisins, apricots, prunes, figs, dates, etc.  Why?  Sugar, sugar, sugar.

Conclusion

All of these foods listed are just a small glimpse of the overall safe and fungus-fighting edible options you have.  There are plenty more.  The key is to starve out the fungus from your body – give it nothing to metabolize and aid in its growth and in the home this means take away the moisture and it takes away the source.

I hope you find the above useful.
