THE MANY HEALTH BENEFITS OF SPIRULINA

Raw Living Spirulina is richly supplied with the blue pigment phycocyanin, a biliprotein which has been shown to inhibit cancer-colony formation.  The high levels of chlorophyll in spirulina may explain its ability to stop cancer colonies from forming. Foods and herbs that contain high levels of chlorophyll show pharmacological evidence of cancer prevention. If cancer cells are stopped before they can form colonies, your body’s naturally occurring cancer cells won’t be able to run amok and develop into symptomatic cancer. Spirulina has been shown to treat a type of oral cancer called OSMF (oral submucous fibrosis).

What Raw Living Spirulina can do for you!

Combats obesity as a natural weight reducer:

Two recent studies demonstrated that three months of regular consumption of Spirulina maxima not only improved BMI and weight but also results in improvements in blood pressure and endothelial function. The patients in the Spirulina group showed significant reductions in BMI.

Spirulina platensis works as a functional food for obese and diabetic individuals, widely used natural weight-reducing agent. The treatment also enriched the abundance of beneficial gut bacteria.
Spirulina maxima supplementation synergistically improves the effects of systematic exercise on body composition and cardiorespiratory fitness parameters in overweight, but mostly in individuals with obesity.

Excess weight and obesity are major risk factors for many chronic diseases, and weight-loss interventions often include systematic exercise and nutritional supplements. The purpose of this study was to determine the independent/synergistic effects of Arthrospira (Spirulina) maxima supplementation and a systematic physical exercise program on the body composition and cardiorespiratory fitness of overweight and obese subjects.

Spirulina maxima intake, together with a systematic physical exercise program, has an individual and synergistic beneficial effect on body composition (decrease of BW and %BF) and cardiorespiratory parameters (an increase of TF, VO2max, OBLA, and a reduction of RHR) in overweight, but mostly in obese, male adults.

Supports heart health:

There are several reports suggesting that Spirulina (Arthrospira) may have a beneficial effect in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Results on the effects of Spirulina intake on plasma lipids and blood pressure in humans. The results of the former studies strongly suggest that Spirulina induces a tone-related increase in the synthesis/release of nitric oxide by the endothelium as well as an increase in the synthesis/release of a vasodilating cyclooxygenase-dependent metabolite of arachidonic acid and/or a decrease in the synthesis/release of a vasoconstricting eicosanoid by the endothelium. In humans, Spirulina maxima intake decreases blood pressure and plasma lipid concentrations, especially triacylglycerols and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, and indirectly modifies the total cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol values.

Cholesterol buster:

Spirulina, as it turns out, is a cholesterol buster. Researchers in Clinical Nutrition searched PubMed and Scopus, online databases of peer-reviewed studies, to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that investigated the effect of spirulina supplements on cholesterol and triglycerides.
The seven RCTs in total showed quite an effect “in reducing plasma concentrations of total cholesterol and triglycerides while elevating those of HDL-C [good cholesterol]. This meta-analysis showed a significant effect of supplementation with spirulina in reducing plasma concentrations of total cholesterol, LDL-C, triglycerides and elevating those of HDL-C.”

Aids in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes:

Researchers have found evidence that spirulina can help type 2 diabetes patients manage their blood sugar levels, among other benefits. What the researchers found is that those with type 2 diabetes who took spirulina for two months had improved blood sugar and lipid profiles. The researchers concluded that “these findings suggest the beneficial effect of spirulina supplementation in controlling blood glucose levels and in improving the lipid profile of subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus.” In some cases, it has outperformed popular diabetes drugs, including Metformin.

Gerson clinic

The best Gerson clinic we have found is run by Dr. Vickers at his clinic in Tijuana Mexico, called the Northern Baja Gerson Center, where he has actually advanced the Gerson therapy to achieve greater results in treating cancer and other ailments, with great success, by adding Hyperbaric Oxygen, Ozone therapy, immunotherapy, as well as much more and at a budget that is more affordable than any other clinic we have found.

Aids in the treatment of allergies:

With one out of every five Americans suffering from Allergic rhinitis, spirulina could be an important alternative for treatment. Allergic rhinitis is a reaction that happens when your immune system overreacts to substances that you have inhaled, such as pollen. The two types of allergic rhinitis are seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and perennial allergic rhinitis, which occurs year-round. Hay fever is caused by outdoor allergens. Perennial allergic rhinitis is caused by indoor allergens such as dust mites, pet dander, and mold. Preliminary test tube and animal studies suggest that spirulina may help protect against harmful allergic reactions. Spirulina stops the release of histamine, which contribute to symptoms of allergic rhinitis making it an important alternative for treatment.

Arthritis anti-inflammatory agent:

The present study concluded that Spirulina is able to restrain the changes produced through adjuvant-induced arthritis. The suppressing effect of Spirulina could be attributed, at least in part, to anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-angiogenic properties. Beta-glucuronidase was measured in the synovial fluid. Each knee joint was totally removed for histopathological studies. Spirulina significantly reduced the levels of beta-glucuronidase that had been increased by zymosan. Histopathological and ultrastructural studies showed inhibition of the inflammatory reaction, whereas no destruction of cartilage, well-preserved chondrocytes, and normal rough endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria were seen.

Spirulina triggered a significant protective effect by reducing TBARS content and increasing the level of GSH in a dose-depended manner.

Spirulina reduced all previous markers compared to AIA group.

Reduction of Neuro-Inflammation:

In PLOS One, scientists say that adult stem cells are present in many tissues including skin, muscle, adipose, bone marrow and brain. But their ability to stay viable and proliferate is hampered by inflammation. The condition of high inflammation in the body leads specifically to neuro-inflammation “shown to be a potent negative regulator of stem cell and progenitor cell proliferation in the… brain.”

In this study, to determine if spirulina could protect the proliferative potential of neural stem cells from acute systemic inflammatory insult caused by lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a controlled diet or one supplemented with spirulina was provided for 30 days. All groups were exposed to LPS. Whereas the group without the spirulina experienced fewer stem/ progenitor cells “the diet supplemented with spirulina was able to negate the LPS-induced decrease in stem/ progenitor cell proliferation.”

Slows the natural aging process:

Raw Living Spirulina activates adult stem cells and reduces oxidative damage.  The adult stem cells are needed for tissue repair.  However, they are usually quiescent (non-dividing).  They can be activated by the body’s need for more cells to maintain tissues, combat disease or repair tissue injury.  As the body’s stem cell stores decline, the body’s repair and regeneration processes come to a standstill.  Raw living spirulina aids the body in continuing the regeneration process.

Lowers the risk of stroke:

The third leading cause of death in the U.S. is stroke. Diets high in antioxidants have been shown to lower your risk for stroke. Studies have shown that Spirulina reduces platelet aggregation, which plays an important role in vascular diseases by reducing the risk of thromboembolism.
In another study, three antioxidant-rich diets (blueberries, spinach, and spirulina) were compared for their neuroprotective effects. Spirulina was found to have the highest neuroprotective effect, possibly due to its ability to squelch free radicals and reduce inflammation. And in an Oregon State University study of rats that had induced strokes, the group fed spirulina showed brains lesions that were 75 percent smaller than those in control groups.

Increases muscle strength and endurance:

Studies have found that spirulina is effective in increasing isometric muscle strength and endurance. Spirulina provides a high concentration of protein in the form of essential amino acids for muscle, health and cellular growth. It’s more than forty nutrients ensure complete nutritional health, and its natural nitric oxide provides immediate and enduring physical and mental energy. Iron is an essential part of our red blood cells, which transport oxygen around the body and helps produce energy in our muscles. Active people deplete iron stores quickly. Raw Living Spirulina dramatically helps restore healthy iron levels in the body.

Aids in the treatment of anemia:

Anemia happens when blood does not have enough red blood cells to properly carry oxygen to your organs and tissues. Because your body does not get enough oxygen, you feel tired. Feeling tired is one of the primary symptoms of anemia.
Our blood contains three types of cells: white blood cells, which fight off infection; platelets, which help blood to clot; and red blood cells, which carry oxygen from your lungs throughout our body. Red blood cells contain hemoglobin, an iron-based protein that helps blood cells carry oxygen. With anemia, our body either does not make enough red blood cells, or loses them faster than they can be replaced. Spirulina daily supplementation, regardless of other dietary intake, may prove beneficial for major variables associated with anemia.

Improves sexual performance:

Blood flow is the key to sexual performance. Studies have determined that Spirulina increases exercise performance, possibly through an increase in β-oxidation pathway rate and increases in reduced glutathione levels. Furthermore, it is already known that exercise increases LPL activity, and in our study, we propose that changes seen in lipemia could be associated with an increase in LPL activity, previously increased by the effect of exercise. On the other hand, we have seen that S. maxima is a good food source with a high nutritional value and has hypolipidemic and anti-inflammatory activities, factors which have a positive impact on exercise and sexual performance.

Dermatological benefits and beyond skin beauty:

The search for natural products with benefits for health in general and of potential for treating human disease has gained wider interest world-wide. Here, we analyze current data on the microalga Spirulina Arthrospira platensis (AP), that has been used in nutrition since ancient times in Fare East and African communities, for medical purposes with a focus on dermatology.

Extracts of AP have been investigated in vitro and in vivo. The alga is rich in proteins, lipopolysaccharides and gamma-linolenic acid. AP extracts, phycocyanin compounds and polysaccharide calcium spirulan (Ca-SP) have been evaluated in various models. It could be demonstrated, that AP has significant antioxidant activity, prevents viruses from entry into target cells and inhibits the colonization of wounds by multi-resistant bacteria. Furthermore, anti-cancer activity was documented in models of oral cancer, melanoma, and UV-induced non-melanoma skin cancer.

Improves memory & learning impairments:

Spirulina maxima reduced hippocampal Aβ1-42 levels and inhibited amyloid – aggregates of proteins that become folded into a shape that allows many copies of that protein to stick together, forming fibrils. In the human body, amyloids have been linked to the development of various diseases which are crucially involved in Alzheimer’s disease as the main component of the amyloid plaques found in the brains of Alzheimer patients.

Spirulina Maxima increased the levels of glutathione and its associated factors that were reduced by the amyloid. Spirulina Maxima also promoted activation of the brain-derived neurotrophic factor/phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase/serine/threonine protein kinase signaling pathway and inhibited glycogen synthase kinase-3β phosphorylation.

These findings suggested that Spirulina Maxima ameliorated Aβ1-42-induced cognitive impairments by inhibiting the increased phosphorylation of glycogen synthase kinase-3β.

Helps to heal and protect the Liver:

The accumulation of fats in your liver is closely associated with metabolic syndrome and strongly raises your risk for dying from cardiovascular disease. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common cause of chronic liver disease in North America.

Animal studies suggest spirulina can protect your liver, probably as a result of its high antioxidant properties and its ability to synthesize or release nitric oxide. Studies show that Spirulina prevents the buildup of triglycerides in your liver, inhibits lipid peroxidation, reduces liver inflammation, and protects your liver from damage by heavy metals, like lead and mercury.

Wide spectrum anti-toxic:

Spirulina (Arthrospira) exerts a wide spectrum of pharmacological activities which are mainly attributed to its antioxidant effect. However, Spirulina has also been reported (both in preclinical and in clinical scenarios) to exhibit other bioactive effects, including an antitoxic potential.

Cadmium, mercury, lead, iron, and arsenic (metalloid) are the metals frequently involved in health problems Toxic effects of metals. Among their most common toxic effects are carcinogenesis, teratogenesis, inhibition of immune function, injury to organs including liver and kidney; nervous and respiratory systems, endothelial dysfunction, hypertension, vascular disease, and damage to the intestinal mucosa.

We performed a systematic review of the literature, conducted in TOXNET, PubMed/MEDLINE, and Science Direct-Scopus; all available years were included. Searching criteria included the effects of Spirulina on experimental poisonings from arsenic, cadmium, carbon tetrachloride, deltamethrin, fluoride, hexachlorocyclohexane, iron, lead, lindane, and mercury.

In all cases, it was established that the blue-green alga, and its isolated compounds, effectively counteracted these pollutants toxic effects on the exposed organisms. Spirulina showed a protective effect against arsenic, hexachlorohexane, and carbon tetrachloride, regardless of its dose, route of administration, and animal model.

Helps prevent blindness from aging eyes:

As the population ages, the prevalence of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) is on the rise. ARMD is the deterioration of your macula (the region in your eye that controls acute vision), which typically occurs later in life. ARMD is the leading cause of blindness today.

Zeaxanthin is a predominant xanthophyll in human eyes and may reduce the risk of cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. Spirulina is an algal food that contains a high concentration of zeaxanthin.

Your eyes’ macular membranes contain several carotenoid pigments called xanthophylls – lutein, zeaxanthin, and possibly astaxanthin, if you’re getting it as part of your diet. These special pigments help protect your eyes from damage by slowing down ultraviolet-induced oxidation of lipid membranes, thereby helping prevent degeneration of your macula. Additionally, xanthophylls may be effective in preventing cataracts. Spirulina provides 3,750 to 6,000 mcg zeaxanthin per serving size (3 grams).

Aids in Chronic periodontitis:

Scaling and Root Planning plus locally delivered Spirulina gel proved the efficacy of the product as a local drug delivery system in the treatment of chronic periodontitis.  Among those done on anti-oxidative agents, this was the first study of its kind which used green algae as a local drug delivery for non-surgical treatment of chronic periodontitis.

It was found that at baseline, the mean PPD was 3.36 mm and CAL level was 4.52 mm, which reduced to 1.79 mm and 3.39 mm respectively [Table/Fig-3]. This was statistically significant (p ≤0.05).

Spirulina exerts strong anti-inflammatory effects which are closely connected with its anti-oxidative activity, low toxicity and lack of adverse effects. Studies showed a significant impact on the treatment procedures of periodontitis. The observations made, may give new direction in the field of periodontal regeneration.  Perhaps achieving the goal of regeneration without any invasive procedures and thereby causing less discomfort to the patients.

The science behind Raw Living Spirulina

Chlorophyll:

Chlorophyll is a green pigment and is present in all green plants as well as cyanobacteria.  It is responsible for the organism’s absorption of light to provide energy for photosynthesis. Its name is derived from the Greek words χλωρός, chloros and φύλλον, phyllon. Chlorophyll is essential in photosynthesis.  It allows plants to absorb energy from light!

Green foods contain a large amount of the essential anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins that your body needs for optimal health. Chlorophyll supports your entire body by helping flush out toxins that cause disease.  It promotes healing and supports your cardiovascular system as well!  It can even help you lose weight!

Chlorophyll – (40 mg) 10x more than wheatgrass

Phycocyanin super pigment:

A blue pigment-protein complex from the light-harvesting phycobiliprotein family.  Raw Living Spirulina contains over 10% of pure phycocyanin. It is an accessory pigment to chlorophyll. It has been reported that phycocyanin has anti-oxidative function, anti-inflammatory activity, anti-cancer function, immune enhancement function, and liver and kidney protection from pharmacological effects.  Phycocyanin has become a new hot spot in the field of drug research. More and more studies have shown that phycocyanin has an anti-cancer effect by blocking the proliferation of and aiding in the termination of cancerous cells. Phycocyanin exerts anti-cancer activity by blocking tumor cell cycle, inducing tumor cell apoptosis and autophagy.  Phycocyanin is a promising anti-cancer agent.

Phycocyanin – (560 mg) bioactive liquid proteins protected inside the living cells

Bioavailable living vitamins:

A vitamin is an organic molecule (or related set of molecules) which is an essential micronutrient.  It is a substance which an organism needs for the proper functioning of its metabolism.  However, said organism cannot completely synthesize needed vitamins in sufficient enough quantities and therefore must obtain the balance through diet.

Vitamins help your body grow and work the way it should. Raw Living Spirulina contains every Vitamin:

  • A (5300 mg)
  • B1 (4 mcg)
  • B2 (108 mcg)
  • B3 (572 mcg)
  • B5, B6 (28 mcg)
  • B9 (94 μg)
  • B12 (4 mcg)
  • C (1 mg)
  • E (5 mg)
  • K (5 μg)
  • Choline (66 mg)

The only one missing is Vitamin D which we get for free from the sun.

Vitamins have many different functions such as helping you to resist infections, keeping your nerves healthy, helping your body get energy from food, and aiding in proper blood clotting.  The best way to get the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients you need isn’t with a shopping spree at your local drug or “health” store.  Go directly to the source with whole plant-based living foods.

Minerals for cellular communication:

In the context of nutrition, a mineral is a chemical element required as an essential nutrient by organisms to perform functions necessary for life. Just like vitamins, minerals help your body grow, develop, and stay healthy. The body uses minerals to perform many different functions; such as building strong bones, transmitting nerve impulses, producing hormones and even maintaining a normal heartbeat.  Minerals originate in the earth and cannot be made by living organisms.  Most of the minerals in a human diet come from eating plants or from drinking water.

Essential nutrients are composed of four groups, vitamins, essential fatty acids, essential amino acids and minerals. The five major minerals in the human body are:

  • calcium (20mg)
  • phosphorus (40mg)
  • potassium (64mg)
  • sodium (2)
  • magnesium (120mg)

All of the remaining elements in a human body are called “trace elements.”  The trace elements that have a specific biochemical function in the human body are:

  • Sulfur
  • iron (24mcg)
  • Chlorine
  • Cobalt
  • copper (32mg)
  • zinc (52mcg)
  • manganese (120mcg)
  • molybdenum (399mcg)
  • iodine (6mcg)
  • selenium (.8mcg)

Raw Living Spirulina contains every single one!

Antioxidants:

Certain plant-based foods are rich in antioxidants.  Plant-based antioxidants are a kind of phytonutrient or plant-based nutrient.  Antioxidants are substances that can prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals.

Free radicals, sometimes called “free-radical scavengers” are unstable molecular waste substances produced by cells as the body processes food and reacts to the environment.  If the body cannot process and remove free radicals efficiently, oxidative stress can result. This can harm cells and body function.  Free radicals are also known as reactive oxygen species (ROS).  Raw Living Spirulina contains an abundance of antioxidants to help your body deal with those pesky “scavengers!”

Fighter phytonutrients:

Phytonutrients are the plant nutrients with specific biological activities that support human health.  The major nutrients present in foods include carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, and minerals.  In addition, there are some bioactive food components known as “phytonutrients.”  Phytonutrients play an important role in strengthening the human immune system by maintaining and modulating immune function to prevent specific diseases.

Phytonutrients are natural products; thus, they hold great promise in clinical therapy.  In comparison with therapies such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy which possess many harmful and debilitating side effects; Phytonutrients possess no harmful side effects!

Raw Living Spirulina contains a wealth of powerful living phytonutrients that play an important role in maintaining the normal functions of the human body.

  • ß-Carotene: (2 mg)
  • Zeaxanthin: (.28 mg)
  • Other Carotenoids: (8 mg)

Amino acids:

Amino acids are essentially the building blocks of protein.  Raw Living Spirulina is densely complete containing all 9 essential amino acids.  The important take away is that the body does not naturally synthesize or produce these essential amino acids and therefore much obtain them through diet.   Here is a list of the different amino acids and how your body utilizes them:

  • Histidine – (9 mg) biosynthesis of proteins – synthesis of hemoglobin, tissue repair, strengthening of the immune system.
  • Isoleucine – (350 mg) required for optimal growth
  • Leucine – (540 mg) stimulates brain function
  • Lysine – (290 mg) needed for producing antibodies, enzymes and hormones
  • Methionine – (140 mg) antioxidant properties
  • Phenylalanine –(280 mg) required for thyroid function
  • Threonine – (320 mg) improves intestinal and digestive function
  • Tryptophan – (90 mg) regulates serotonin
  • Valine – (400 mg) stimulates mental and physical capacity

Complete Source of Protein:

It’s easy to understand the excitement!  Protein is an important component of every cell in the body.  Your body uses protein to build and repair tissues.  It also uses protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other bodily chemicals.  Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.  Hair and nails for example are primarily made of protein.

The human body needs both macronutrients and micronutrients to survive, grow and develop.  A micronutrient is a class of substances needed in small amounts to support normal growth and development.  A macronutrient is a class of substances needed in large amounts to support normal growth and development.  Protein is a macronutrient…again meaning that the body needs relatively large amounts of it.  Unlike fat and carbohydrates which are also macronutrients, the body does not store protein!  Therefore, the body has no reservoir to draw on when it needs a new supply of protein for bodily processes.

Raw Living Spirulina is a complete protein containing all essential 9 amino acids in the perfect ratio!  The proteins within Raw Living Spirulina are 100% recognizable and useable by the human body in their raw form!

Raw Living Spirulina is composed of 71% complete proteins for your body’s use and delight!

Superoxide dismutase:

Superoxide dismutase is considered to be quite possibly the most powerful antioxidant our body creates.  Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an enzyme found in almost all living cells.  SOD facilitates the breakdown of the toxic superoxide radical into either ordinary molecular oxygen (O2) or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).  Superoxide is produced as a by-product of metabolized oxygen.  If not regulated, superoxide causes many types of cell damage. Thus, SOD is an important antioxidant needed for cellular defense in nearly all living cells exposed to oxygen.

SOD is an extremely fragile molecule thus; it is not artificially synthesized.  It is impossible for us to get it in synthetic supplementation form through our digestive system.  The answer is to obtain bioactive SOD!  The only place you can get it from is in living foods such as Raw Living Spirulina.

Raw Living Spirulina contains necessary Superoxide Dismutase – (21200 IU)

Omega 3 fatty acids:

Omega Fatty Acids are “polyunsaturated” which refers to their chemical structure.  “Poly” means many and “unsaturated” refers to double bonds. They are essential and not synthesized by the body.  Diet is the mode in which Omega 3 fatty acids are obtained.

Omega−3 fatty acids are important for normal metabolism and are a crucial part of human cell membranes.  Unfortunately, the Western diet does not contain enough omega-3s.  A deficiency in omega-3’s may contribute to chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

Raw Living Spirulina has omega-3 fatty acids in the form of ALA, EPA, and DHA.  This powerful food aids in reducing inflammation, promoting healthy cells, and keeping our skin beautiful.

Raw Living Spirulina contains:

Alpha Linolenic – (1.47 mg)

Docosahexaenoic (DHA) – (1.47 mg)

Omega 6 fatty acids:

Like omega-3 fatty acids, omega-6 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids. The omega 6 parent fatty acid is called “linolenic acid” or LA for short.  It can also be found in seeds such as flax and hemp.  LA is converted into “gamma linolenic acid” (GLA for short) which has potent anti-inflammatory properties and is used in female hormone balancing.

The only difference between omega 3’s and omega 6’s is that the last double bond is six carbons from the omega end of the fatty acid molecule rather than three. Omega-6 fatty acids are also essential and not synthesized by the body meaning you need to obtain them from your diet.  Omega 6 fatty acids are primarily used for energy.

Raw Living Spirulina contains the second highest volume of GLA known and consumable.  It is second only to a mother’s breast milk!

GLA – (1.07g)

Essential Linoleic (1.1g)

Dihomogamma Linolenic (53mg)

Bioactive enzymes:

Raw Living Spirulina is rich in potentially important nutrients and enzymes such as RNA, DNA, sulfolipids, and glycogen.

Enzymes are macromolecular biological catalysts.  Enzymes are biological molecules (proteins) that act as catalysts and help complex reactions occur everywhere in life by accelerating chemical reactions. Enzymes affect every function, from breathing to digestion. The molecules upon which enzymes may act are called substrates and the enzyme converts the substrates into different molecules known as products.

Ribonucleic acid (RNA) is a polymeric molecule essential in various biological roles in coding, decoding, regulation and expression of genes. RNA and DNA are nucleic acids.  RNA, DNA, along with lipids, proteins and carbohydrates, constitute the four major macromolecules essential for all known forms of life.

Farming:

Raw Living Spirulina is a unique strain of algae grown at a state-of-the-art micro farm in closed-source freshwater raceway systems.  The process was engineered to keep the growing environment as optimized and clean as possible.  Our year-round systems are located in Florida.  The facility is regularly cleaned and live cultures are then added to our fresh spring water in order to maintain a stable growing environment.  Our facility and method obtain high nutritional standards for every crop!

Harvesting:

Raw Living Spirulina is a fragile organism (similar to tiny water balloons) with no cellulose structure to the cell membrane.  The challenge to protect the integrity of these superior nutrients found inside the cell has always been a top priority.  If the cells are damaged, the nutrients are dramatically compromised.  After many years of research designing and testing experimental systems, we finally solved this problem.  Harvesting fresh Raw Living Spirulina is now the gold standard for protecting the bioavailability of the most powerful nutrition our planet has to offer us!
